Care and safety
Guidance, not physical therapy. Stop if it hurts.
What Reva is
- A gentle at-home movement guide, tuned daily to what you describe.
- A session builder that always starts easy and progresses slowly.
- A safety screen that runs before every session, on every plan.
- A guide that tells you plainly when to stop and see a professional.
- A log of your movement, your feedback, and how things adjusted.
What it is not
- Physical therapy, rehabilitation, or medical treatment.
- A diagnosis tool. It does not tell you what is wrong.
- A substitute for your surgeon, physiotherapist, or doctor.
- A fitness program. It does not push you harder over time without a care check.
- Appropriate for acute injury, recent surgery without clearance, or red-flag symptoms.
Using Reva does not create a clinical relationship, and it does not replace the guidance of your doctor, surgeon, or physical therapist. Reva guides general movement. For anything specific to your diagnosis, your surgical notes, or your clinical progress, your clinician is the right person to ask.
The sessions are produced by language models, guided by a system prompt written and reviewed by a licensed physical therapist. They are careful, they start gentle, and they can still be wrong about whether a particular movement is right for your particular situation today. Your body and your judgement matter more than any session Reva builds.
Before you move
Four things Reva holds to, every session
Never push through pain
Reva starts gentle and stays within comfort. If a movement is sharp, wrong, or worsening, the instruction is always to stop. Not to push. Not to try a few more. Stop.
Safety screen before every session
Before Reva builds any session, a deterministic code check runs on what you described. It catches the descriptions that should never become a workout. If it finds a red flag, no session is built. You are told to see a professional instead.
Keep following your clinical plan
If you are in a formal rehab program or under active clinical care, keep following it. Reva is for the mornings between appointments, not a replacement for the appointments.
Check in before starting if you are unsure
If you are early after surgery, in more pain than usual, or uncertain whether gentle movement is right for today, check with your doctor or physical therapist first. Reva will be here when you are cleared.
Stop and see a professional for
- Sharp, sudden, or shooting pain
- Pain that is getting worse rather than easing
- Numbness, tingling, or a limb giving way
- New swelling, warmth, or redness, especially in a calf
- Chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness
In an emergency
If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, have had a fall or fainted, or if you are in any doubt about whether it is urgent, call your local emergency number. In the United States that is 911. In the United Kingdom that is 999. In the European Union that is 112.
Before your first session
The readiness acknowledgment
The first time you use Reva, before your first session is built, you see a short acknowledgment of what Reva is and what it is not. It is not in the small print of the terms. It is on the screen, and you confirm it before you go any further.
It asks one thing: that you understand Reva guides gentle general movement and is not physical therapy, and that you will stop and check with a professional if something feels sharp, worsening, or worrying.
How Reva uses the acknowledgment
It is not a legal waiver. It is a moment to read and confirm that you understand the nature of this tool before your first session. After that it is shown as a reminder at the top of the care and safety screen on every session, not buried in a drawer.
If you are ever unsure about whether to go ahead, you can read this page again, check the red flags above, or ask your clinician. Reva will be here when you are ready.
The full terms are on the terms page. The privacy stance is on the security page.
Start gently, at your own pace
The free plan gives you one gentle session a day with no card required. Describe how you feel and Reva builds it in a few seconds.
